So bad news - we are closing US 12 White Pass again due to a rockslide & unstable slopes west of the summit. It will remain closed tonight due to safety concerns. Our geotechs will be out Tuesday morning to evaluate to determine what needs to be done before we can safely reopen.

With the clear skies tonight one of our off duty meteorologists got these great shots of Orion above the trees at the Woodland Park Zoo lantern light show. For all you photographers out there the next front is slowing down so there is a chance for a colorful sunrise Monday.

Once Snoqualmie opens, PLEASE don't treat it like the Indy 500. All it takes is one driver going too fast or being unprepared to crash & block the road. With narrow lanes & shoulders, there is no place to clear a crash so it would be stuck until aid arrives.

Whirlwind of weather in the last 48 hrs. And a rollercoaster as well. Check out the temperature change over the last 3 days in Everett (blue line). A rapid rise with a warm front followed a cool down with todays cold front. Quiet weather awaits. Who could use a breather? 🙋‍♂️

Classic convergence zone pattern today as strong winds through the strait and Chehalis Gap merge over Puget Sound. In this loop, you can can see a subtle northward shift of the convergence zone as strong southwest wind over south Puget Sound gives it a push northward.
