Here is another summary of the all time record high temperatures either tied or set across northwest Oregon and southwest Washington earlier today Sunday June 27th. #pdxtst #orwx #wawxpic.twitter.com/smEXGxhf6C

An image showing the all time record high temperatures either tied or set at sites across northwest Oregon and southwest Washington. This includes Astoria Airport tying its record high temperature of 101°F, which was previously set on July 1st 1942. It also includes the all time record high temperature of 112°F that was previously set yesterday when it hit 108°F. In addition, Salem hit 113°F, which beat out its previous all time record high temperature of 108°F set on August 9th 1981. In addition, Troutdale, Vancouver, McMinnville, Hillsboro, Corvallis and Hood River all set their record high temperature for any day of the year. Many of these sites have records that date back to the 1890s.

It's odd that Corvallis was 102° on this day in 2006 without Salem or Eugene exceeding 99°

Too hot for the Northwest. Everyone is rethinking not having AC right about now.

It's still well over 90 throughout Corvallis (with the exception of the airport, which is well outside Corvallis), even as the rest of the mid-valley is now below 90, and in some cases below 80. What's going on? When can I finally open my windows?

And it's still over 90 degrees in Corvallis at 2 AM. Much of Portland now below 90. Corvallis and Junction City stations now seeing 15 degree difference. McMinnville also running a bit high. Curious to hear explanation for hot temps late in western parts of this forecast area.
