At 2:15 PM (3:00 PM Navajo Time) showers peppered northern AZ. A few embedded thunderstorm were also being noted (yellows and reds on the radar image). Cells are fast moving so showers will be brief but wind gusts excess of 30 mph are likely near any showers. #azwx

As expected, showers and storms have popped up across northern AZ. That said, dry air near the surface is limiting a lot of the precip from reaching the ground as it evaporates before reaching the surface. This can result in some gusty and erratic winds. #azwx

The forecast is for typical spring weather across northern AZ through next week. By "typical" we mean some sun, some clouds, a couple days with a few showers, breezy, windy, warm days and not as warm days. The only thing missing is a bit of snow. The weekend looks nice. #azwx
