Mostly sunny and dry conditions are expected across the plains Saturday. Critical fire weather conditions are expected for areas along and south of I-70. Scattered mountain rain and snow showers are possible.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for eastern Elbert, Lincoln and areas to the south and east Saturday starting at 11 am and continuing into the evening hours. A combination of gusty winds, low relative humidity and cured fuels could cause fires to spread quickly.
