[Storm Total Rainfall] A widespread 1 to 2" of rain fell across much of the region last night and early this morning. There were some localized 2"+ amounts near the south coast.

A sharp cold front extended across southern New England this morning. Readings across NW MA were in the mid to upper 30s at 5 AM. Meanwhile, on the warm side of this front, readings were around 50 degrees.

Minor, nuisance-type coastal flooding can be expected along the South Coast during high tide late tonight (near midnight). Any flooding would be less than one foot deep & mainly confined to more vulnerable shoreline roads. #mawx #riwx

It’s #WxKnowledgeWednesday! Where low pressure goes will affect the movement of warm and cold air. Too far north, and most spots see rain. A track off the Mid-Atlantic brings snow for most, but the Interior may miss out. Coastal systems hug the shore and give some snow to all.

[Snow Amounts Lowered] We have lowered the expected snowfall into tonight. Areas of light snow impact parts of interior #SNE this afternoon, but the steady/heavier snow arrives between 4 & 7 pm. Most locales change to rain by 10 pm. Expect 1-5" of snow northwest of I-95.

Here are the latest snowfall amounts for the current storm through 11 am. The bulk of the snowfall so far has been confined to the Berkshires and northern Worcester Hills, with greater amounts to the north. Additional snowfall is expected this afternoon as rain changes to snow.
