Some good news this morning, DHS has announced that they are pushing the deadline for enforcement of the REAL ID act back until May of 2025. While we vehemently oppose the REAL ID act, we are glad this measure delays enforcement for another 2.5 years.

After fleeing Russia, our two clients seeking asylum in the United States are being held in detention as we work to get them released. Read about their harrowing journey in search of safety in this article from Politico. Immigration detention is inhumane.
Thousands of Russians are crossing the U.S. southern border to claim asylum. Many are ending up in immigration prison. “I left Russia for a place just like Russia,” said one.

Welcome news that this federal court is recognizing the illegality of the Title 42 policy that prevented so many from pursuing their right under U.S. and international law to seek asylum. I hope the Biden Administration will not appeal (but expect to be disappointed on that).

Shame on the Biden Administration for abandoning their promises to protect TPS holders and their families.

By failing to reach a just settlement in Ramos & having yet to re-designate TPS for 100k+, @JoeBiden is doing the opposite of what he promised to migrant families & is instead endorsing Trump’s anti-immigrant policies.
