Let’s hope there isn’t any double demerits in California this weekend, otherwise it would be a big speeding ticket for our plane. Recently the #NSWRFS LAT ‘Marie Bashir’ had a visit from our friends at the CHP - Mojave while deployed to the US supporting firefighting activities.

It's #stateoforigin time and we always enjoy the banter with QFES. Well with tonight's game in Adelaide, CFS has entered the chat. Remember, if you're heading to Adelaide for the game there is a time difference. Set your watches back to 1982. Go the Blues!

Water hydrants are a vital tool used by firefighters when they need to access water. It’s important our hydrants remain clear of debris, so we can access them quickly during an emergency. If you know of a hydrant that needs maintenance, contact your local #NSWRFS FCC or brigade.

It’s going to be chilly this week! If you’re using a fireplace this winter, inspect and clean your chimney. #NSWRFS crews have attended several homes, with fires burning in the chimney or roof space. This occurs due to a build-up of creosote in the chimney, which can then ignite.
