    As air quality in the West reaches dangerous levels due to unprecedented wildfires, not everyone is receiving vital information needed to stay safe. That’s because health dangers fueled by the climate crisis, like wildfire smoke, are poorly monitored. Learn more from ⬇️

    The Clean Air Act was set up to focus on things like cars & factories not "exceptional events" like wildfires. That's why monitors are in cities, where most anthropogenic emissions are. In these data gaps, things like have thrived & met needs.

    Good. It’s about time. Communities and organizers have been calling on GE to get out of coal for years. This is an important and long overdue step in the right direction to protect communities’ health and the environment.

    General Electric, one of the world's largest makers of coal-fired power plants, says it is shifting its power business to focus on cleaner alternatives instead.
