Same case with Texas. We have unrestricted knife laws, kids can carry knives of 5” or under, if they’re under 18 and no length restriction over 18. Yet we dont have permit-less carry

I'm torn. I applaud Iowa for this bill, but it seems odd to praise a government for asserting it will now recognize rights it was previously violating.

I hear ya. Truly, I do. Government has no just authority to violate the natural rights of people without due process of law as individuals. They did that for years. But we still cheered when the Berlin Wall fell.
