There are 40,000 needless US gun deaths a year. Thank you, @Everytown, for fighting to reduce the deaths of fellow Americans.

36,383 Americans killed with guns each year, 22,274 are gun suicides (61%), 12,830 are gun homicides (35%, <1% mass shootings), 496 are law enforcement shootings (1.4%), and 487 are unintentional shootings (1.3%). We have a mental health and soc econ problem.

Note to the
@NRA: You should stop brokering in violence and profiting off the deaths of murdered people. We're trying to have a humanity here. You're not helping. -
Seems to be another case where every side is the wrong one. How about some civil discourse grounded in better information and understanding of
#violence#rootcauses and#gunrights? - 2 more replies

That’s the best you can do?
@MomsDemand had everyday volunteers who were concerned that SCOTUS might take an extreme position setting precedent which might overturn basic gun safety laws which protect lives. (And yes, many know it’s NYS Rifle & Pistol Assoc v City of NY) -
I also have seen our volunteers show up at statehouse after statehouse, because they have seen the damage that guns have done to their communities. Meanwhile the only people who show up on the gun maker side are the NЯA lobbyists in their fancy suits.

Note to the NRA: having paid lobbyists make fun of regular Americans standing up for
#GunSense is not a winning tactic... Don't take my word for it - just look up the 2019 election results in Virginia#GunLawsSaveLives@MomsDemand@shannonrwatts@Everytown -
