Really? What do you have to hide? I got a background check to get a financial certification and for global entry at airports. Didn’t make me as a law abiding citizen more vulnerable. It made people traveling on planes safer. It made people investing money safer.

So, if the government decides to revoke your financial certification would that hinder your ability to defend yourself or exercise your rights? No, however, registration of firearms has always lead to confiscation wherever it has been enacted thus violating 2A rights.
