Someone should tell self-important anti-gun doctors to stay in their lane. Half of the articles in Annals of Internal Medicine are pushing for gun control. Moments you always remember. Grandmother shot in the neck. 16 yo dead on scene. Shooter in next bay getting full resus, I run this one. Expanding neck hematoma, intubating w/armored ET tube. pRBC. Lifeflight. Saw a pic later, ET tube was only airway left. She lived.

1989 is considered the year that narcoterrorism peaked in Colombia. In 1989, I did my Forensic Medicine clerkship. To greet me on my 1st day were a dozen unidentified corpses, presumably guerrilla, killed using M16/AR15 rifles.

@NRA social media director to stay in their lane. When you’ve seen what I’ve seen and you’ve had the training I’ve had, then I may consult with you how best to manage the devastating effects of gun shot injuries. -
Nobody argues the devastation of a gun shot wound. No more than devastation from stab wounds, burns, blunt force trauma, etc. Gun bans are out. Firearm safe practices are in, and the NRA shines in this department.
