My wife's elementary has been open since Sept. using the CDC guidelines. They are still open. 1. Everyone wears masks or faceshield 2. No entry without temp / symptoms check 3. Students with symptoms cannot return without a doctor note clearing them

To my happy surprise, her school has no student-wide out break of flu, cold, or strep .... which normally starts to make rounds by October. I could honestly get used to this.
