We need to educate kids to spot what is true and what is false. The problem today is that because there is too much information from dumb ppl who say they have the answer. That lead ppl to believe in misinform information because they lack the skills to find the truth.

The climate is changing. Virtually all scientists agree on that. The debate is over who or what is causing it and should we bother to do anything to help sustain the environment even if it affects are personal finances. That’s when people get nervous and are like....what change?
-
The debate over what is causing it is long over. Atmospheric CO2 levels are higher than have been in over 400,000 years, and it all happened in the last 150 years.pic.twitter.com/5CdQtDGuxk
-
Not if you don’t want it to be. I agree with you by the way. We need to own this and do our best to reverse it! We can’t keep kicking cans down the road!!
-
It's political, the science is clear. Water vapor is the most potent and dominant greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. CO2 influence on H2O vapor is minimal and not dangerous. CO2 and H20 vapor follow temp, not the other way around. Each contributes minimally to temp.pic.twitter.com/OTTkLJRpY1

I thought those were CO2, methane and halocarbons? Water vapor ??

-
The whole hypothesis of Anthropogenic Global Warming is dependent on CO2 having a multiplying effect on water vapor. Models depict the x-factor to be from .5x to 3x (see previous graphics.)https://www.popsci.com/environment/article/2009-03/top-ten-greenhouse-gases …

Thanks for the info. I need to add water vapor to that list

Half these kids can't read, or write after graduating. Can we fix that problem first?
-
Oh, they can read and write, and they know not to put a comma between a compound verb.
-
In a new KIDS COUNT data snapshot, the Annie E. Casey Foundation finds that 80% of lower-income fourth graders and 66% of all kids are not reading proficiently. Sure they can read.

Kids won’t understand the concept of climate change. How about focusing on basic habits like not littering/cleaning up trash, recycling, turning off electrical devices when not in use...
-
Yes they can. It’s very simple.
-
Lol ok...

12th grade only. Anxiety is way too rampant already and only actionable recommendations based on science should be made. Talk is cheap and younger kids will just get nervous.

How about teaching them “Empirical Science”, instead of “I Believe Science”?
