A couple fell to their deaths last week while visiting Yosemite National Park. More than 10 people have died there this year.https://n.pr/2AAwTwQ

There are a number of things worth dying for. Photo tourism is not among them.

The selfie death is a plague upon white 1st world countries. Its almost like we are war but its just with our own self aggrandizing flourishes. Water drowns, fire burns, you can't fly.

Well don't climb high mountains. Just like if you go swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark. You're taking a risk.

That's so sad, at least they passed doing what they loved together. The photos they shared are beautiful and the places they visited look amazing.

I'm afraid of heights, which is not accurate, I am afraid of falling great distances. This keeps me safe (and ridiculed) by keeping me away from these situations. Stupid people, you can NOT fly!

You don’t know that you can’t fly unless you try. Maybe you’re special and different from everyone else. Believe in yourself.

Yeah, but I believe in science and gravity tells me I can't fly. I won't try it, I'll just trust in the truth.

Boring but I understand. I once read the main reason people are afraid of heights is not b/c of the distance from the ground but b/c they just might give into that inner voice and actually jump. I think there’s some truth in that somewhere. People aren’t designed to live forever.

1/2 - I will pinpoint my phobia for you. When we moved to Italy in 1972 we had a 3 day layover in New York so we went to the Empire State building, all the way to the observation deck (which is enclosed with chain link fencing). It was January so I couldn't even see the ground.
