Imagine if people did this for the homeless or those living in severe poverty.

Actually, that’s an example other governments should follow, but unfortunately the 1% STILL needs another tax break.

Many fast food restaurants, like mc donalds, carols jr. etc, throughout LA have only been hiring immigrants many of the homeless Americans arent even given a chance at getting those jobs due to the manager only wanting to help immigrants many illegal, CA isnt helping the homeless

Many homeless are trying to even go back to their high school jobs but are finding it hard to even get into those jobs again, in cities like LA more non-English speaking immigrants illegal and legal alike are taking much of the work the homeless have been trying to get.

They're doing the best they can, but we need public institutions to stop harassing people they believe to be addicts, more affordable services, and safe injection sites, which are banned in Snohomish County.

Last month, I watched a security guard at our local library harass a woman he assumed was homeless. I met her in the bathroom, where she was too scared to pee because she was afraid he was going to come in and drag her out. We parted ways and I heard her her just a few mins-
-
- later at the front desk complaining about the guard. I looked over to watch the security guard, twice her size, stand over her while she is attempting to complain about him. The guard makes sure she's not heard, which is why she began to get loud-
-
-not yell. But she began to leave while loudly saying 'PLEASE STOP FOLLOWING ME. I'M LEAVING. PLEASE STOP HARASSING ME." He was 20-15 feet behind her the whole time which is when I decided to follow them out because SHE needed help-
-
Good thing too, because I heard him threaten to call the cops. I saw him reach in his pocket for the cell phone, and I told him to go back inside before he yelled at a woman desperately trying to cross the street with a cart & a bike to escape him. He didn't go inside-
-
-I stayed across the street with that woman, while she tried to calm herself, quickly shoveled food in her mouth and hoped she could find a place to charge her phone. The security guard stood there for a solid minute with his hand in his pocket. I didn't leave, so he did-
-
-I love what they are trying, but treating it as a natural disaster doesn't affect the heart of the issue, but failing to address the systems that continue and inhibit change is only going to prevent this program from being as effective as it could be.

We need to stay the course in SnoCo and see this thing through and I think we’ll see good results. It’s way past time to actually start putting real effort into trying alternate, research-based solutions to the ‘War on Drugs’.
