People can be people and that is their inalienable right but children should grow up before they let their stupid parents encourage life altering decisions that they might one day regret. This shouldn't be acceptable.

The decision didn’t come from the parents. The decision came from the child. That’s the point of the article.

So children make all the important, life-changing decisions now?

They should be able to make the decisions that effect their own mental health and well-being.

Agreed, but I’m just worried about the effect this will have on children making these decisions years down the road, not only for their mental health but also physical health.

The great thing about decisions is that they are never permanent. Yet, when we are he ones making them, they ar so much more valuable.

this is disgusting #socialterrorism there is no way a child can make these decisions. this person should be prosecuted for child abuse.

Someday, people will look back on social history, and find insistence on binary gender classifications unfathomable.

1.5 million seem to disagree. Stories for Living does not go into the minor details of human existence. How one dresses or who one loves is a minor detail. It is ones conduct that matters.

It’s funny how you can make this so difficult . Your a male you act like a male if your a female you act like a female. That simple.

Awww geesh. Really? Force someone to act in a way that's not correct for them? That's how you get deeply closeted gay people who suddenly get wicked angry. See that Florida bomber for an example. Its not good for them or society. Just to satisfy who? You? What next? No tattoos?
