Are you trying to affect the election with this kind of report?

If telling the truth equates to “affect the election” then yes. But why in a democracy can’t it do that if it’s truth? Why can’t people know the truth before they get to the ballot box?

Do you mean HEALTH INSURANCE, not HEALTH CARE? Those are two very different things.

nice unbiased headline there, NPR. Keep on wondering why no one trusts you anymore...
-
Facts are facts. They come in the agreeable and also the uncomfortable variety.
-
Write what you gotta write, no issues calling someone out for being deceitful, but my issue is media wording/spinning stories with a clear stance, it starts a dangerous trend
-
I really want to understand your thought process. These are verifiable facts. Should the public not have access to the information? If you believe the public should have access to these facts, how would you have worded it differently?
-
you shouldn’t word your headline “but let’s be clear”, it just comes off as smug and like gotcha journalism
-
so just take that part out, write it: “GOP candidates are promising to protect people with pre-existing conditions, but the Republican Obamacare repeal bill would have made it harder for many with pre-existing conditions to get coverage.” Exact same point comes across w/o slant
-
I agree. Thx Kevin

If you are poor and don't function well and struggling to exist then you'll want to vote for the Democrats. If are healthy and on top of the world and have cash for self and love money and want more of it at any cost then you'll want vote for the Repubs.

To be clear, nobody can be absolutely certain of that because the repeal bill never passed on account of McCain's thumbs-down vote. However, NPR pushes the phony story nevertheless in a desperate attempt for more Democratic votes for the midterms.
-
Prior to the ACA it was mich more difficult for people with pre-existing conditions to get coverage and often came with a significantly higher rate. Why shouldn't we expect the same if those protections were lost?

Good work - now let's start to see pressure from the media on Trump to finally release those tax returns in the lead up to the midterms
-
Because that will help people with pre-existing conditions.
-
I'll call it treatment for the pre-existing condition of collective amnesia afflicting a nation of some 350 million
-
Treatment for TDS. Good luck with that.
-
Good luck with that demented President hero
