The know..they already had MooseHead beer...now this?
-
And free healthcare that isn’t horrible. But I’d have to give up the beach.
-
Oh...the beaches we have!
-
Lotta Palm trees, eh? ( due to heavy nitrogen runnoff, with our beaches come Red Tide, now, so I could enjoy ours anywhere.from photos)

The crime problem just got solved in Canada, and the revenue stream increased. I’d rather see people smoke pot then take opioids and die.

Doesn't 4 plants yield more than 30 grams?
-
Very much so.
-
I think the 30g rule is referring to being legally allowed to possess 30 in public, when traveling, etc. It’s to counter trafficking. Get pulled over with 4lbs on you, good chance it was/is being unlawfully distributed, so you get arrested for possession with intent to distribute
-
I had a feeling that's what its about aswell

Greetings from Canada, NPR friends! Well, it’s October 17th and looking out my front door, things look pretty much the same. Except for the roving gangs of zombies lost in clouds of cannabis smoke. That’s new.pic.twitter.com/bwSmZb665T

Federal law says 18 is the minimum purchasing/possession age, however provinces can set higher ages. Many provinces have alcohol/cigarette purchasing ages of 19 and have opted to also make that the legal age for cannabis. So be aware of the laws of the province you’re in! :)

Congrats, Canadians! Your jails will now be a bit less empty over these petty charges. Take note America.

This should be a good test to see how it may help or hurt society.
-
It's already successful in multiple states

-
Really? It has been legal for decades?
-
Being legal for decades isn't a metric for success.
-
Sure it is. It is a great way to measure long term career success and family relationship stability. That can only be measured by decades of study and data. How can you measure a 13 year old kid using marijuana and what effects it has on them when they are 30?
-
As it's illegal for a 13 year old to possess marijuana, that will never be measured. The reason the age of legality is 21 in America are the negative effects on youth. Youth usage has not increased in the legal states.
-
You don't think that the legalization of pot will likely result in the ease of availability to young teenagers? What are you going to tell me next, kids don't drink alcohol in high school because they are not 21?
-
Youth usage is steady to dowm as dispensaries ask for ID and your local drug dealer doesn't
