Chief Justice John Roberts, in his first remarks about the appointment of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, sought to convince a law school audience that the court "does not serve one party or one interest, we serve one nation."https://n.pr/2ymxtN1

Sounds nice, but we’re skeptical since, you know, Injustice Kavanaugh screeched about a left wing plot and revenge for the Clintons and “what goes around, comes around”. But yeah, sounds nice.

It’s always a red flag when an independent judiciary feels it’s necessary to remind citizens of its independence

Says the same #SCOTUS that just ruled that it is constitutional to ban people who have a PO Box on their ID from voting in South Dakota, which affects almost exclusively the native American democratic vote for Heidtkamp. Oh OK.

the gop put them in a position to destroy themselves, and it seems unlikely they will be able to control their impulses, they're like junkies in a warehouse full of smack, sooner or later they're going to start shooting up, and they'll love it, but then the body will begin to rot

Ok. Pretending five Justices on the SCOTUS aren't there exclusively to advance the agenda of the Republican party

And the other 4 are completely impartial right? This is the way it goes.. The way it has always been. The only time you get a moderate judge is when one party is in the Whitehouse and another has the Senate.. That's another reason separation of powers is important

You don’t know what you’re talking about. This Court has invalidated more major, legitimately passed legislation in history. All with bare 5-4 majorities. They are waging a war on democracy itself. The very definition of an activist court overruling the will of the people.
