Defrauding and disenfranchisement are the same here. We don't need ids to vote . and doing so can hurt democracy

Fraud: Claiming to be someone else, or doing something else, for the purpose of gain. disenfranchisement: Restricting the rights of a person even when no crime was committed, or a sentence has already been served in full.

Who is perpetrating the "fraud"? This isn't fraud. It's voter suppression and disenfranchisement. Let's be clear on that. Calling it fraud implies that the people voting are the problem.

Get the post office to give the whole reservation one designated street address, then anyone living there could use that for ID.

Anybody can get a free address just buy calling their 911 coordinator, who'll send a letter confirming the new free address. They can also use a utility bill.

Some of these people don't have a lot of utilities, and travel 40 miles on dirt roads to get to the nearest town -- dirt roads that don't have names. If it rains, or the car's low on gas, getting to town is difficult. How does 911 even know where they are?

They use a GPS locator map. The ND tribal councils now have this information. It still is voter disenfranchisement.

Reservation government is considered separate and sovereign. If the Native Americans want to participate in U.S. elections (and they should) they need to provide proper U.S. IDs.

Weird that they still have to abide by federal laws regardless of “sovereignty”

Yes, but the constitution and federal law says very little about how elections are to be run. The states all have their own systems. Native Americans absolutely have the right to vote, they just have to establish their identity and citizenship like every other American voter.

They have established their identity and citizenship. It’s the federal law that states natives must use a PO box. Not the state. Weird how you don’t think this is a miscarriage of justice.

Again, you’re confusing federal mailing rules with state election law, which is only interested in legal citizenship In That State. And disagreeing with you doesn’t establish that I hate anybody, native or otherwise. That’s just cheap arguing.
