The thing is, she showed him selfless kindness first. Only then did he see her as human. She *literally* had to risk her safety to prove she was not whatever preconceived notions he thought she was. The labor we force these women to do...

Because they chose humanity first....
-
remember when people could get along with one another, despite having opposing views? Maybe someday we'll get back to that.
-
Maybe once we stop putting babies in cages and rapists on the Supreme Court we can talk about "getting along"
-
Maybe once the regressive left stops calling everyone they dont like Nazis and rapist, we can indeed get along.

Does he regret his
#MAGA support? Would he still vote for Trump? -
Way to miss the point, champ
-
Didn't miss the point at all. A healthy dialogue was started. But what is the outcome, Champ? The article lacks a conclusion, sport.
-
Healthy dialogue was indeed started between people with opposing viewpoints. That's a good thing, and that's what more people should be doing. That doesn't mean he should regret the beliefs he holds, bud.
-
Then what's the point of a 'healthy dialogue' if not to actually understand the opposing viewpoints. It would undermine the whole article if this guy just goes back to carrying on with the same ideology. "Did he grow from the experience?" is a relevant follow-up question.
-
But you're basically telling me to either change my mind or we have nothing to discuss. That isn't healthy for society.
-
No, he says in the article that he'd basically been laboring under false pretenses based on what he got from the media, likely Fox and Trump. So did he grow from that information? Also, obdurately refusing to change one's mind isn't healthy for society either.
-
forcing your viewpoints on others isn't healthy, either.

How much did this interaction affect him? Did he continue on in support of Trump or did he realize he wasn't getting the whole story? Did he change new organizations? Was there a snowball effect where he questioned the validity of other opinions he held? A piece of fluff...
