Maybe women just aren’t as interested in obtaining high political office as men? Why aren’t their more male teachers???

If there were, would you have learned the difference between their and there? Here’s a fun fact: because majority of teachers are women, they are a vastly underpaid profession.https://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/07/sunday-review/why-dont-more-men-go-into-teaching.html …

Because women will do the job out of the goodness of their motherly hearts, I suppose, rather than to earn a decent salary ~a popular anti-union mentality
-
You see the same thing in all the services. Military, health care, fire and police - the most critical jobs in our nation getting the lowest pay. Because Patriots and good people WILL do it for cheap, the pay is kept low, and there's almost zero competition outside elite tiers.
-
Maybe we should reduce the pay of football players. XD

Don't be glib.

Cool...but who are the 16% of Dem women who think there are NOT too few women in power?

Rural evangelicals

I saw a poll recently that said 1% of Democrats believe Richard Nixon was the best president in modern history and I really wanted to know more about that group.
-
margin of error. lol
-
If there's literally one Democrat who believes Nixon was the best president in modern history I want to know everything about that person.

When poll results are presented this way it implies a 50/50 split between number of Ds and Rs. you really should do overall percentages so this misconception can be addressed. Pew Research Center surveys in 2017: 37% of registered voters identified as Is, 33% as Ds and 26% as Rs
-
Exactly. NPR and other's report it this way because they know the average reader doesn't have the intellect to call them out. I gave up a long time ago trying to explain polls, weighting, percentages, etc. to dimwits. Usually to those on the left.
-
Yes they should have noted that the Rs they report only represent about 1 in 4 people. And the majority- Independents aren't even reported. (I'm a lefty dimwit by the way).

Your poll omits the largest voting block in the United States. Independents.
-
YOU MUST CHOOSE A SIDE!
-
Exactly. The pressure to commit to one partisan side or another is too much. Heck, it seems the pollsters insisted on putting respondents in one camp or another regardless of whether it was true.
-
I got caught on a telephone poll last week. It was a poll regarding state races, but they kept asking questions related to federal issues (Medicare for all and ICE mostly). As you said, pressure to fall on one side or another and using wedge issues to drive the divide.

Thanks for sharing this information. Women have the power to make a difference in politics and the way people are treated. It begins with men having respect for women and treating them as equals. Women bring awareness, wisdom, another point of view that can't be "mansplained".
