"In my post, I was empowered and I was sure it probably did [happen]," she says. "I had no idea that I would now have to go to the specifics and defend it before 50 cable channels."https://n.pr/2QLyZzO

She says she doesn't have "first-hand knowledge" — but that despite not knowing specifics, she remembers there was a "buzz" that went around the weekend of the party in question about an alleged incident involving students from her school and Kavanaugh's.https://n.pr/2QLyZzO

It is something, she said, that was not surprising to hear given the culture of drinking and partying, but she remembers being struck by the "gravity" of what was being talked about.https://n.pr/2QLyZzO

She said staff from the Senate Judiciary Committee had reached out to her, something she wasn't expecting. She said she will not go through with a committee interview if asked.https://n.pr/2QLyZzO

The alleged incident occurred in summer yet they were all in school talking about it

-
And she says she NEVER told anyone about it until 2012?
-
Stop the calls for a FBI investigation this lady is probably sure something may have happened - case closed
-
Wow. Some really sharp commentary above. Regardless of this story (or anything else), the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, is asking for the FBI to investigate. So, why not let the Justice Department do its job, and present its findings to the Senate Judiciary Committee?
-
If she truly wants an investigation she should call the police. She didn't. She wrote her congressperson 36 years after the fact & made it a political issue.

You must think you’re so brave pointing out simple minded observations on twitter while ignoring the the shaming, stigma, and retaliation faced by sexual assault victims.
-
You’re actually part of the reason why victims don’t come forward in the first place: you automatically assume the victim isn’t acting in good faith, and therefore cast doubt and blame upon them.
-
She isn't really coming forward though is she? She is just making it political which hurts those of us who come forward truly just wanting situations like this handled appropriately.

Because it didn’t!
it was so life altering that nobody, not even the victim can remember the event. What I want to know is how much is she getting paid by Dems to delay #ConfirmJudgeKavanaughNow -
Apparently the victim does remember the event or we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.
-
If true she had all those years to complain and file charges, why now? I’m just saying the timing is suspicious
#DelayTactic#shady -
It's always the right time to come forward.

It’s like that one relative you never hear from till you win the lottery

-
That's the best analogy you could come up with? It's not like, oh, this human stain could be controlling women's bodies for the rest of my natural life, as much as i hate to bring this up since trying to forget it, i have to speak out. ? Geez.
-
This is why common sense is not so common on the left

-
Exactly, they don’t really care about people, just their mind numbing hatred for their president and doing whatever they can to go against him. Didn’t care about the kennedys victims or Bill Clinton’s, or ANY related to dems.
