I remember asking the egotistical fertility doc if there would be health concerns for a child conceived that way. He patted my shoulder, told me not to worry because all that was important was to have a child, right and he was the guy to make that happen. We adopted instead.

Be skeptical of this research. Very small sample size. Lumping all different methods of ART together doesn’t make sense. Not to mention that if 1 additional control group participant was hypertensive, one of the main findings would no longer be significant. Bad reporting

I wonder how much of a role nutrition and environment plays in this. Does the method of conception itself increase risk, or does it increase risk in combination with other factors, compared to just those factors alone? Is there a genetic link b/w infertility & heart probs 1/2

in children. First ART cause the problem or simply aggravate it? Need more analysis before trying too shock/scare public. Start with detailed examination of parents' and kids' lifestyle habits, as well as parents' complete family medical history (& genetic makeup where possible)
