        Maybe if people had medical care and health insurance, those 40% wouldn't even land in jail, solving the problem for the correctional institutions. Health care is crime prevention of sorts. @staceyabrams tweeted about it.

        The three largest “mental health facilities” in the U.S. are Cook County Jail, Twin Towers Correctional in LA, and Rikers Island.

        Yeah, poor decision making. Society and legislation dictate what is legally acceptable. Ones inability to make proper decisions based on those confines must be a mental disorder... or just poor judgement.

        I guess I'd be more disappointed in humanity if 90%+ of inmates DIDN'T have any mental illness because that would mean they're just assholes.
