My son never had them. Never had a night light. Never had training wheels on a bike. He learned to walk, wasn't afraid of the dark, and learned to ride a bike.

How did I manage to learn how to walk 69 years ago without a walker? And training wheels? Nope, I got my obligatory bruised knees and elbows like the other kids.

I used one with my oldest child and am using one with my youngest. They have never been hurt in the slightest when using it. The descriptions in the article seem to indicate the parents have no clue. I would not put a child in one anywhere that I wouldn't trust them walking.

Guns are fine though, this is the world we leave in

But wait, we had that
#MarchForOurLives
and several other marches and protests, so guns are now banned right?

Shouldn't they take them out of the walkers to treat the injuries?

Near field connected implant. Spend more than 20 minutes a day with your frigging phone and it releases a major dose of a birth control compound. Useless, incompetent children simply should not reproduce.

its a pity they wouldnt take the same view on the 100,000 americans who are injured/killed by guns every year!

But what about the good they do in helping infants transition from crawling to walking? Wouldn't it be better to study what's causing injuries and re-design them to reduce the risk?

I used one for my son 15 years. A good one and with always safety in mind. No access to stairs or anyplace dangerous like the kitchen. Now things change and it's fine. What's strange is that there is mobilisation about safety of walkers but nothing is done about guns. Hypocrisy

I never put my now-grown children in walkers. They were created to make our jobs as mothers easier. I appreciate that; however, I learned early on they interfere with a child’s physical development by skipping the natural progression of learning to crawl and eventually walk.
