Why in the hell is there a bond even set??? This is ridiculous. There should be no way this animal is let out of jail while waiting on trial.

Because he is law enforcement, and you know that they always get a bail set (even crazy high) for crimes no one else would

Can we please refer to him by the very appropriate moniker of "serial killer" instead of by his professional title? He doesn't deserve such lighthanded treatment.

True. In that case, I'd settle for US Birder patrol agent turned serial killer"

Are these border patrol being properly vetted? I read somewhere they were being lenient with some who had previous records because they were having problems recruiting.

Strange I haven’t heard anything from Trump on this. I thought maybe he’d somehow defend this mans actions since Trump obviously hates immigrants.

He’s likely a hitman for some cartel. He’s got way more than the blood of just 4 bodies on his hands. Do more digging NPR. Don’t take his word for how many He says he killed. Or maybe @ProPublica should investigate this federal agent working in behalf of the USG.

Held until he can make $2.5M bond. He would have to put up 10% of that to get released.

"Held on bond" is impossible. If held, bond has not been set or has not been paid. If on bond, bond has been paid and the suspect has been released. Can't have it both ways.
