The Alabama House just passed a bill that would ban abortions at every stage of pregnancy. It would charge doctors with a felony and up to 99 years in prison for performing an abortion, unless the woman’s health was at “serious” risk.

“Overlooking a qualified woman because you expect misogynists to have a problem with her is the very definition of patriarchy.”

New York is 1 of 15 states that allows for federal Medicaid funding to go towards abortion (because it’s healthcare)!! Find out if Medicaid covers abortion in your state.

Maine gets it… abortion is healthcare! No woman should be prevented from exercising her right to choose because she can’t afford an abortion.

Note to self : Sexual Harassment is NOT a compliment.

If NYC Councilman Ruben Diaz Sr. thinks reporting sexual harassment makes him “a rat,” what does he think about the movement? If we stay silent, we are complicit. This is the attitude that perpetuates sexual harassment.

What do you do when a NYC Councilman says “sexual harassment is a compliment”? Find a woman for the job! Take action by supporting ! She’s running to oust the homophobic, anti-choice, so-called “Democrat” Ruben Diaz Sr. Let’s get him out!

Though men are being incarcerated at a lower rate than before, black women are the fastest growing population in prisons and jails. Why have women been left out of the conversation when it comes to mass incarceration?

Georgia has banned abortions before most women would even know they are pregnant. A 6 week ban is an attempt to fully ban abortions - let's not pretend it's anything different.

If we don't change our gun laws, how can we expect school shootings to stop? We must fight the power of the NRA, an organization so extreme that they're AGAINST the Violence Against Women Act!

We stand with the victims and families in Colorado after yesterday's tragic school shooting. This is not normal.

Unacceptable: An annual report on sexual assault in the military shows a 50% increase in assaults on women serving our country. It is past time for making the systemic changes necessary to overhaul a culture that enables violence against women in uniform.

Fake clinics deny women the information that they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. These millions of dollars in federal funding should go to actual clinics, not those run by anti-choicers posing as medical professionals.

Thoughtful and important piece by “The goal of accountability is not to banish perpetrators forever. The goal is to create the conditions for a society in which all people can expect to live free of assault or the threat of assault and discrimination.”

This is both undemocratic and inhumane. Our constitution protects civil liberties and religious freedom, NOT discrimination.

Young people’s sexual health needs extend beyond pregnancy prevention. That's why Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month is now Sex Ed For All: Youth Power, Information, and Rights Month. All young people deserve sex education, no matter what.

We all know this look. We’ve given it to men just like Attorney General William Barr: Men who lie to shield each other from accountability, men who think they can walk all over us, men who aren’t nearly as smart as they think they are.
