It’s always tragically hilarious when people demand that the government protect them from a “monopoly.” What on earth do they think a government is?
-
-
Free market.
-
Free market stops monopolies, does it? The free market will prevent Walmart from swallowing 90% of retail, when they're the only ones capable of charging the lowest prices for everything?
-
Amazon, Walmart and other large corps use govt laws and regulations (tax code) to help stomp out competition.
-
What does that have to do with stopping monopolies? "Grow up" is far from an argument
-
bc you clearly believe and need a nanny in the form of the state to keep you a warm and safe.
-
And you are clearly braindead. Moving on.
-
Hahaha, still smarter than you.
-
You got a T-pain quote in ur bio tone it down a notch buddy.

Monopolies can’t exist without direct government sanction. Every monopoly you can think of has only existed because the government has protected it.

Citation? Look at every current and past monopoly. There’s your answer. You think the railroads and telecom could have had monopolies without government banning their competitors?
-
Government doesn't "ban" competitors. I'd say telecom is not a typical business situation.

Without governments there would be no monopolies as entry into the market would be completely open and unrestricted, unlike now where everything is tilted in favor of wealthy firms who can afford the zillion licenses, permits, regulations, and bureaucrats.
