Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin needles through the skin. Research suggests that acupuncture may help ease certain types of chronic pain. http://bit.ly/2M11A56

Its already been proven many many times that it makes no difference where you put the needles...I repeat sham acupuncture is just as effective as regular acupuncture, meaning it isn't effective at all.

Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin needles through the skin, and the effects don't depend on where you put the needles, whether or not you use toothpicks, or if you insert the needles into a rubber arm.

The mission of the NCCIH includes the words 'rigorous scientific investigation' but don't think you're going to get it.
