Hiiii, you shot me in the face w/ (expired) tear gas as I walked to my car following your orders to disperse. 1/4 mile away from the protest. Public safety & respecting constitutional rights ≠ ordering us to disperse while simultaneously surrounding & violently attacking us. ❤️

Wow. Losing hope in the press. you never took up the offer for my account. I even filmed the whole thing. According to attorneys I had the worst injuries from RPD's most violent night (Saturday). How can you aim to tell the story of the injured if you're not talking to us?

You just described the September 2020 protests in Rochester, NY to a T as well. They ordered us to disperse while simultaneously surrounding us & hiding in parking garages, then opening fire at everyone with tear gas & pepper balls. Compliance wasn't their goal. Violence was.

Broken nose, hole in my lip w/ stitches in & out of my mouth. But I'm still feeling sassy AF. Will see you all on the frontlines w/ my big scary umbrella & selfie stick as soon as I get the OK from doc! Thank you to the majority (non garbage humans) for the overwhelming support!

Good luck faking the party loyalist. These constituents are smarter than your crappy consultants have suggested. This district has had enough detached politicians named Chris born w/ silver spoon in mouth. They deserve an independent voice w/ working class roots!

We have a severe lack of unbiased, investigative reporting in our region and it's doing nothing to improve the state of things, and everything to empower a loud minority of dangerous individuals who love a good dog whistle and perpetuate misinformation.

Here’s my thing Will, you continually disparage, disrespect, & condescend hardworking journalists, including myself, on a daily basis. If you think you can do better, leave the (failing) PAB and get back in the business.

It's all cultural. You can call it personal boundaries all you want. Clearly this threatens your ability to give unsolicited compliments. Unsolicited compliments out of nowhere from a stranger are weird power dynamics in cases like this, not kindness. Most women don't like it.

Including 100 children. But did that go as viral as the missing billionaire dingleberries who admittingly "broke rules" to essentially commit suicide? Why is it acceptable for the rich to break rules for fun, and not for the poor to out of survival. #EatTheRich

This is a heartbreakingly disappointing statement. Completely hollow as it pertains to the biggest threat against women of our generation, but also because it's somehow supposed to make sense on the heels of the city changing its protest policies, which reflect prior RPD abuse.

3 yrs later I still struggle to articulate the govt sanctioned attack on peaceful protesters. & there still hasn't been any accountability. A change in protest policies that the city thought would appease lawsuits. No justice, no peace. No community healing w/o accountability.

One yr ago today, police fired thousands of pepper balls on peaceful people protesting police brutality & injustice after the death of Daniel Prude. They unleashed a barrage of “non-lethal” weapons on citizens. RPD fired 6,000 pepper balls over 3 nights. 1 democratandchronicle.com/story/news/202

Several have talked to you plenty of times. You immaturely hang up on those that disagree with you. When actual data is presented to you, you dismiss it & deflect back to your talking points. This is incredibly disappointing political theatrics. Can't even call it disingenuous.

Sorry but no. Don't normalize their violence and unconstitutional assault. Setting off a firework or throwing a water bottle does not warrant the insane series of events that ensued. And last night they started it. They trapped us on a bridge and fired, without notice.

As a Ukrainian woman I am appalled by the excessively disparate responses to Ukrainian asylum seekers & Black & Brown asylum seekers by some leaders in recent weeks. Can you imagine if they led w/ "workforce requirements" when speaking of Ukrainian immigrants? Yeah, me neither.

To all of the women in politics, locally & beyond, who get labeled "difficult", "argumentative" and "not a team player" for speaking truth to power. Reminder that's just weak leadership desperately clutching to power. Make it their problem, not yours. 🫶🏼💪🏼

Free speech doesn't include threatening sexual violence and hate speech. Peo should have to choose between his seat on council and his 30 follower podcast. At a time when women's human rights are being rolled back, standing against all forms of violence against women is critical.
