Israel: Hamas deliberately puts civilians in harms way and tries to provoke us into firing in the hope of generating international anger/sympathy. Me: If you figured out the trick, why are you falling for it?

What do police do when crowds have knives and Molotov cocktails? Don’t they bring in SWAT teams? How big are the crowds? I’ve read thousands. How many crowd-control officers would you need?

Tear gas, water cannons, rubber bullets, sound cannons, and other non-lethal measures. And they'd only need to deal with people who breached the fence. Drones did a decent job handling the molotovs attached to kites. Knives aren't threatening from distance. Nor are burning tires.

I won't disagree. Anything to limit civilians injuries/deaths. But I don't know if that would be seen as much different in terms of international anger/sympathy.
