Nicholas Grossman Retweeted Donald J. Trump

At first, I thought this was a parody account. Trump touting jobs *in China*?!? But no, it's real. Therefore, I choose to believe this is because the president finally realizes that economics is not zero-sum, trade is beneficial, and more jobs there don't mean fewer jobs here. 😄https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/995680316458262533 …

President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!

      Nicholas Grossman Retweeted Jon Passantino

Wow, it's so much worse. ZTE--the Chinese company Trump bragged about trying to save--was banned in the US for helping Iran get around sanctions, and suspected by US intelligence of spying on Americans for China. See thread 👇https://twitter.com/passantino/status/995705291902611458 …

ZTE phones were effectively banned in the US over national security concerns. Now Trump wants to reverse that decision to help Chinese jobs. https://gizmodo.com/us-bans-zte-from-buying-parts-from-american-companies-f-1825295176 …

Interesting interpretation of Trump ZTE commentshttps://twitter.com/prchovanec/status/995726255352926209 …

I seem to be one of the few people not beside myself over this tweet. Why? Because I’m not sure he even knows what he actually means by it. He’s just floating a potential “benefit” past the Chinese, to stir the pot a bit. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/995680316458262533 …
