Israel-Iran escalation the day after Trump announces US withdrawal from Iran Deal in a speech citing Israel. Hard to see those as unrelated.

Contextualize Iran's firing into Israel in terms of Israel's repeated strikes in the last week (albeit, I'd argue, justified), The question is what now? Israel targets ALL of Iranian bases (?) in Syria and prays Syria, Russia & Hezbollah don't respond?
-
Not sure, but it looks like it's headed that way.

I'm kind of thinking it will quiet down now for awhile. Like they let some air out of the bottle. Russia doesn't want to lose its foothold in Syria. If they start to see, after last night, Israel ain't gonna go quietly- they may get Iran to settle down.

Perhaps. But Iran's not going to leave Syria, and Israel's not going to be okay with Iran establishing positions in Syria. The underlying conditions for conflict remain.
