Even if the talks break down, why exactly does it have to lead to war? We’ve lived from the 1950s to this date without armed conflict, what’s the point now. Everyone can just take their ball and go back home...no lives lost.

It doesn't. But Trump's put a lot of personal credibility on the idea that acting tough wins concessions. That it has *already* won concessions. If talks fail, then he either has to admit he was wrong and go back to Obama's wait-and-see strategy, or follow through on threats.

Got it. This is why he’s got to be removed from the presidency This is beyond differences in ideology, this is about having a clear thinking, rational person as POTUS.
