Not that stagnant wages, rising cost of living, declining lower- to mid-skill employment opportunities, etc. aren't problems. They are. Tough problems, many possible solutions, none perfect. But govt-guaranteed, well-paying employment would make things overall worse. (END)

Where will all these jobs be located? A chunk the sticky unemployment persists because people can't/won't move to more prosperous areas. Will we open a small office doing nothing in each dying community so people can work with dignity in the town they grew up in?
