The Federalist Papers are op-eds, not a sacred tradition handed down by the Founders.

Actually Ben Franklin used the printing press for politicall influence. So yes it is our scared tradition. We made the 1st amendment to protect it. Yes it was handed down by our founders and its in our constitution. So yes op'eds are important to America. They create discussions.

Op-eds are definitely important. But they're not the word of God. Read and reference the Federalist Papers. Engage with the arguments. But merely quoting one of them doesn't mean you automatically win an argument about current policy.
