I agree & I’m not saying at all that empirical reality does matter (I’d just burn my degree if I said that LOL). All I’m saying is neither POTUS nor his supporters is driven by data. +, analyses show that facts don’t change the mind of those who believe in conspiracy theories

I'm not disagreeing, except for one thing: Just because many people's opinions won't be swayed by facts does not mean no one's will.

I agree with you. But I think there is a caveat—i.e., I think those who are persuaded by facts & empirics etc have already moved away from Trump or are withholding their support. Otherwise his favorables won’t have a hard ceiling at 40 since he’s taken office.
