This doesn't mean most American gun owners, or the subset that belong to the NRA, believe in this new globalized white nationalism. But it's large enough to exert influence. Especially since adherents are loud and internet savvy.

Some of the loudest, most passionate participants in America's gun debate see guns more as symbol than tool Not "I want to use this to accomplish [home security, hunting, fun target shooting, etc.]" but "They are trying to force us to stop being us." It's identity politics. (END)
