Regardless of whether letting teachers licensed to carry bring their guns onto school grounds on its own, it sure doesn't seem like a solution to school security. For one, the people who are both licensed and willing won't be evenly distributed around the country.

It’s not about a certain number of trained licensed teachers having access to a gun per school, it’s about potential shooters not having any idea if the school they are targeting has 0 or 1 or 50 staff members who are trained & carrying. They need to not know school is gun free

Stoneman Douglas wasn't gun free. Neither was Columbine. Both had armed security guards. Ft. Hood and the Navy Yard were the opposite of gun free. Maybe mass shooters aren't calm, rational people deterred by the possibility someone at their target will be armed.
-
FT Hood was gun free.

It's a military base. There were firearms at the base, even if everyone wasn't carrying on their person.
-
Yes firearms locked up in the armory. None of those shot were armed. Disingenuous at best.
-
Not at all. I'm responding to the claim that mass shooters would be deterred by the *possibility* someone at the location they're targeting is armed (even if no one is).
-
The mass shooter at Fort Hood was well aware that the area he was attacking was literally gun free as he was stationed there.
-
He didn't start shooting at the post gate where there was an armed MP.
