That's good to know. I just wonder how you arrive at the "correct" definition?

For the conceptual terms, the meaning established by the theorists/scholars who coined the term and study the concept. And the dictionary.

Nonsense. If you point at a refrigerator and say it's a horse, you're wrong. The words "refrigerator" and "horse" both have meanings. Even if you choose to misuse them This applies to more complex words too. For example, if you call North Korea a democracy, you're wrong. It's not

But refrigerator or horse is a literal concept but refugee isn’t. I’m from Bangladesh where America supported a coup in mid 70s. For some, is America the terrorist?

Refugee means someone forced to leave their country (by violence, natural disaster, etc.) It contrasts with internally displaced persons (left home for similar reasons, but still in country). There's also a formal international legal definition, as in "granted refugee status."

Supporting a coup isn't terrorism. It's supporting a coup. They're two different things. That doesn't mean either is good or bad. Moral judgment is different from classification.

But the term is an objective one. giving legitimacy to a coup after actively supporting isn’t terrorism? btw dnc will disagree with your assertion

Correct. Giving legitimacy to a coup is objectively not terrorism.
