WORDS I WISH MORE PEOPLE USED CORRECTLY terrorism privilege refugee fascist sovereignty neoliberal literally populist treason
Refugee means someone forced to leave their country (by violence, natural disaster, etc.) It contrasts with internally displaced persons (left home for similar reasons, but still in country). There's also a formal international legal definition, as in "granted refugee status."

Supporting a coup isn't terrorism. It's supporting a coup. They're two different things. That doesn't mean either is good or bad. Moral judgment is different from classification.
-
But the term is an objective one. giving legitimacy to a coup after actively supporting isn’t terrorism? btw dnc will disagree with your assertion
-
Correct. Giving legitimacy to a coup is objectively not terrorism.

Exactly and the misuse of these words is what leads to hatred, misinformation & prejudice. i.e. headlining the current situation in Europe as as the Syrian refugee crisis has made people believe that all those migrating to EU claim to be Syrian and refugees. It must be avoided
