On a more serious note, my actual take is this: I realize that sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate between edgy ironic internet subcultures and real shit. And that sometimes people make mistakes but later grow and change. HOWEVER

Norton seems to have known these people were literal Nazis and has not demonstrated any contrition for it. Indeed, she seems quite proud to be friends with them.

While I have an admittedly self-interested stance that people should not have their careers destroyed for dumb shit on the internet, I also believe that this should not be an excuse for continued malicious and deliberate activities.

I do not believe Norton is a Nazi. However, it seems undeniable that Norton has a genuine public affection for certain Nazis. It is difficult to make the case she was bamboozled when she herself claims they meant what they said and said what they meant.
