Yes, there is, that's fair. But I don't know why it would change. Burr has defied Trump, the GOP, and much of right-wing media by putting national security above partisan politics. As he and Warner emphasize, the point is not to alter the last election, but to protect future ones

Mueller indicting Trump would be about altering the last election. That's why "the resistance" is hell bent on his doing it. That ends everything else. Is it about Russia or dumping Trump? You can't have both at the same time, as I keep saying.

I agree. If Trump violated his oath of office--a la Nixonian obstruction or something else--that pertains to his presidency, not undoing the previous election. But indictment for pre-election crimes would be. And protecting future elections is definitely more important.
