True, but that won't matter. Presidents own the economy they are in. Dems can win in many ways in November. But they should not bring up the economy. Complaining about a tax cut or bonuses is a bad strategy.

My point's about accurate analysis, rather than electoral politics. Whatever the political implications, the evidence indicates the cause isn't a government policy change in 2017 (or 2016, '15, or '14 either). Most likely, a combo of normal post-recession recovery and Fed policy.
