He did not admit it was a joke. He said it was a possibility that it was a joke. He never said that he was retracting his accusation. You gave him too much (partial) credit.

He said “it’s a real possibility,” which leaves a little wiggle room, so less partial credit than he could have gotten. But the Trumpist route would’ve been to double down, or at least whatabout something, and I’m giving him credit for not doing that, as so many have.

Unless a Senator or Representative brings EVIDENCE of wrongdoing, they should not be give the courtesy a national broadcast voice. Secret meetings (even if it were true) are not evidence of nefarious deeds. Nefarious deeds are evidence of nefarious deeds.

@FBI should have continuous, regularly scheduled onsite and offsite meetings for the purpose of reviewing Presidential conduct with respect to public corruption law.
