Fully understand this sentiment, but how does that opposition become just mere words if in the end President has the full support from a policy standpoint? He obviously doesn't care what one thinks about him but does care if his agenda is being held up. A conundrum.

Trump's words matter, so countering them with words matter And it's not clear if he has an agenda. Basically adopted Congressional Republicans' But I see your point. If Trump tries something abnormal--say, trying to shut down the Russia investigation--I'd expect Flake to fight it

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the efforts and hope they serve as building blocks for the time when a "redline" is crossed. It has to start somewhere, even if the efficacy is not immediate.
