Well we do not get to decide who runs for office. We can either run ourselves, vote for or against, or not participate. I think its good that she is running. The more ppl that run, the better pool to select from. Our opinions of her running do not matter in the grand scheme.

As I say in the article, she can run if she wants to. But she's proven that she cannot be trusted with classified information, and election would get her a security clearance. That's why voters should not support her.
-
We have trusted so much in the hands of people far worse for so long, I cannot bring myself to accept that those actions are any worse than what many politicians have been doing for years...but I could be naive in that respect.
-
It's not the worst thing any politician has ever done. But that's a ridiculously easy bar to clear. Nevertheless, very few people who've served in Congress have done anything close to espionage that aided an organization as vicious as the Taliban.
-
Could you help me understand how you arrived at the conclusion that this leak helped the Taliban? I haven't seen or read anything that explains that. She was aquitted of aiding the enemy and its largely accepted that the leaks did not lead to any harm of US service members.
-
Leaked docs included the names of Afghans who were informing on the Taliban to the United States.
-
Right, and those informants were relocated for their safety just in case any retaliation happened, of which there was none reported. In my opinion I do not think that equates to aiding the Taliban. The only report that informants were harmed that I can find is on Breitbarf.
-
You're noting that the US reacted to the leak quickly, before the Taliban could use it to cause serious damage. That's not much of a defense. Definitely could have been worse. But losing informants and having to scrap some plans hurt US/Afghan war effort, thereby aiding Taliban.

All voters should agree to not support this woman. This has nothing to do with her being trans and everything to do with espionage. Maryland doesn’t like that as many IC professionals live here. Let’s agree to say “Bye Felicia” to that one.

Agreed! There are plenty of qualified, patriotic, candidates that can be trusted.
-
Then they should run. So often we take a back seat and critique who is running for anything. Run yourself or get behind any candidate you wish. Its not up to us besides a vote.

At the very least, arguments for Manning's candidacy shouldn't include condemning people who don't want to vote for her, as simply being anti-transgender.

Better she move into the “broom closet under the stairs” when her pal Jules moves out.

What, are you afraid she'll expose all the innocent civilians we're murdering and covering up in other countries again?

Oh please. Saying you can't reject Chelsea Manning without rejecting all transgender people is like saying you can't reject Donald Trump without rejecting all males.
