I don't think that's accurate. Ryan's solution is big cuts to entitlements. In the same interview with the above quote, he said "We’re convinced that this is one of the key ingredients to fiscal discipline." By that he means he hopes it'll force entitlement cuts.

That is the next step. They sold the tax plan that will cause raging deficit increases, just like Bush jr did, which they hope gives them the juice to steal "entitlement" money.

People do like HeritageFoundationcare, tho the MUCH higher premiums (than '09) have caused many to wonder if expecting insurance companies to 'compete' when there's a mandate to buy wasn't… utopian. Single payer/govt option are more popular, might be the lesson.
